Although my gff was Michael, born about 1838, I do know that his wife was named Brigid Healey, Born around 1846.(I swear there were 10,000 women named Brigid Healey!.)I've seen the Honora Barrett branch, but was unable to connect them. I was often told we were not related to the Lost Creek Kilkers, the other Girardville or even the Scranton and Centralia Kilkers. I am sure that is not true. We just haven't made the Ireland connection. I don't even know if my gff, Michael had siblings, though I'm sure he did. (the Irish Catholic thing.) He was a miner and then a store owner. He had 4 sons and 2 daughters . 3 sons were miners, one also Michael A. (my gf), was a lawyer. 1 daughter died in 1885 at 17, the other in 1913 at about 38. My gf, had 6 kids, 3boys. Adrian, a priest, Cyril and Cletus, both lawyers. 3 daughters Maria, Eleanor and Rosemary, all teachers. Cletus was my dad. I did get the feeling that some members of my gf's family was overly impressed with their own status, that they may have denied relationships with others. That is just an impression I got, and cannot prove. But I am intrieged(sp?) to finf any connections. Thanks a lot. If anything rings a bell for you, I'd love to hear from you.
