Luke Scott & wife Mary brought their teenage children over to LaChute Quebec in 1829. Luke was a Yeoman and fought in the Killala war with the French & British in 1798. It is said that Luke owned land but I don't know where.....Matthew their son married a Baird in Quebec so they must have know each other in Ballina as it states Mary Anna Baird was born in Ballina .
