If you have the right two women as the sisters, his name was probably Patrick Michael, or he was called either one or the other. If father was Patrick so called son Patrick Micheal but he was known as Patrick, maybe Mary thought she should use his legal name. Irish names are a puzzle as everyone was called the same names. Even in recently modern times, my husband's father was known as Charlie, so you would think his name was Charles as he had legal documents but when he died his mother had to write a letter to say that Lloyd Daniel was Charlie!! His father's name was Daniel so wouldn't you figure they would call him Lloyd, no Charlie. His wife thought his name was Charles and that name was given to my husband as a second name!
