Start USA and work back. You might try for Naturalization papers. I found that MA had records which in our family (my husband) ancestors had more detail then other states (i.e. port of debarkation, arrival place & date, etc). The MA COD have parent's listed and, again, in our case, not just Ireland listed but the townland/county. Parents names also there. Granted that data is only as good as the knowledge base of the person providing it, but you could get lucky. Many times the church record (not the certificate) will also have a bit more info than the usual. We found this by making a trip to the church. The old rectory records may be of help. The cert. only gives the date, name of bride & groom, witnesses & priest. The record book usually has more in most cases.
