I am researching my fammily, especially the Hannicks in Mayo. The Hannicks I am researching come from the Ballysokeery, Ballina area of North Mayo, which is very near Killala. The earliest Hannick I can find is a Michael Hannick in the 1796 Linen Growers of Ireland report and he is in Killala. Are the Hannicks you are researching from North Mayo?
