Irish genealogy is a tagle. The DNA is worth it. I share DNA with 992 people world-wide who took the same test / on webiste 23andme.com Once on you creat a user profile, either public or private. you get a list people you share DNA with, and can exchange info. alot of people stay private and dont want to be bothered. you get a 'map view' option. this is a world map with all the people you share DNA with as 'pin-points' on the map. but that only shows if they have a town/country listed in their profile. you get a breakdown of ethnic background that goes back begining of mankind. I have 3% neanderthal. lol. you get a full health report. you chose to 'read' the report or not. the report shows your top health risks like Cancer, your inherited genes, reactions to meds, etc. some people DO NOT want their health reports, so opt out to NOT opening them. The data and the options on how to view it or compare it to others is incredible. and there are message boar! ds to exchange info.
