Visited numerous times over the years. My last visit 2 years ago. Not too far away is the Castlebar County Library which has a great deal of genealogy data. Only charge is for copies. The Records office does not do credit cards, cash/Euros only. People have always been quite helpful. I give them my list with names, dates and type of record I need. Take a seat, pull out a book and wait. Death & marriage are not complete for the first decade or so. Only birth had a penalty attached if not reported. Marriage if your ancestor was Protestant which started in 1845 most probably would be there. Mary Ellen Chambers Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
