John left Ireland for Scotland and in 1853 married an Elizabeth Pringle in Wigtonshire, Scotland. John died in 1873 in the Parrish of Penningham, Wigtonshire, Scotland. I am hoping to find the Sheridans in County Mayo connected to this John Sheridan so I can confirm that this is the correct John Sheridan and hopefully make a visit there this summer. I found a Birth Record in the region South Mayo for a John Sheridan in 1828, whose parents were Patrick Sheridan and Bridget Sheridan. Is this indeed the John Sheridan who moved to Scotland and is my relative? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
