I would like some help, if possible, in directing my search. I know that Terrance (sometimes Thomas) McLaughlin married Margaret Hopkins in the RC parish of Aglish on 14 June 1828. I understand from other research that the family came from a place called Roslee. I know that Terrance was a tailor, and that by 1850 he and his family were living in Sheffield England, where he died in 1860. By 1865 his widow and children were in Meriden Connecticut USA. I am looking specifically for information on (a) where the Catholic Church is that would serve Rosslee; (b) where exactly is Rosslee? It appears today to be a housing subdivision near Castlebar. Is there something else I can use to identify the location? (c) Is there a Catholic cemetery that would have served the Rosslee area in the 1830-40s (I recognize that it may not be "Catholic" given the time -- but perhaps a likely place of burial for Catholics?)
