Hi Diane, Thanks for sending this, this is really good news. I have a question - have or has anyone on the list, gotten copies of the Civil Registration entries from the microfilm at FamilySearch? Is it the same as what GRE offers, or is it different? At least the text records seem to be different when you search on Family Search. I wondering if it makes sense to request them from FamilySearch or just use the GRE. The nice thing about getting civil registration records from the LDS has been that they send a photocopy of the entire page, not just one entry, and that's often informative. For example, one of my greatgrandmother's brothers died of scarlet fever in 1867. The page that listed his death included 5 scarlet fever deaths out of a total of 10 deaths, and Thomas, age 10, was the oldest. With the new system of sending a digital image rather than a photocopy, I don't know if they'll continue to send the entire page.
