I am trying to verify & document his story. I can summarize it for you when I get home (currently writing you from work). In 1861, all the children of Anthony Nash emigrated to the USA, except for Edward (there were 6 boys in all, I believe). Their mother, Ann, emigrated later and can be found living with my ancestor Patrick in Pittsburgh PA on the 1870 census. The disinheritance was due to Anthony converting to Catholicism, was done (presumably) by his father, at the encouragement of Anthony's sisters.
