You were on a fishing expedition. Several people spent a considerable amount of time and effort to assist you in that fishing expedition which obviously they didn't have to do. It could be regarded as a waste of time. You apparently haven't even bothered to research your ancestor's civil and church records where she lived after emigration and her children's to find out where she was born in Ireland. There was a complaint on this list in the last number of days from a poster complaining the church he contacted never responded to his request to search their records for his ancestors. Requests such as yours with no credible basis for churches or records to try here in County Mayo or elsewhere in Ireland is the type of request which adds to lack of responsiveness from this side of "the pond" from churches and other sources. And very unfortunately negatively affects those who have actually "done their homework" in records abroad for their emigrant ancestors and who do have credible information regarding their ancestors birthplaces here. They are the ones who are negatively affected by your type of approach. Oceanstrands
