I saw your posting on the web. My guess is that the person you are looking for is Michael Garvan, as the surname Garvan was often changed to Garvey and still is. I have a reference to a Michael Garvan born to Michael Garvan and Bridget Conry of Glenamoy in 1894. I know that there were intermarriages between the Morans and the Garvans as they lived in the same area of Glenamoy. What other information is contained in the letter you mentioned?
