    3. Thank you so much! Yes they were RC and I will check with my local LDS center. So, if I understand you correctly, you do not think there is any way to go any further back in County Mayo? Would there be any records available there if I am ever able to make the jump across the pond? Church parish records for Castlebar would be the source for Catherine and her siblings baptismal entries if they were all born in Castlebar. I assume they were Roman Catholic? The Roman Catholic parish records for Castlebar are available on microfilm on order through LDS. The parish records don't go back far enough to include Catherine's parents baptismal records if they were also baptised in Castlebar. Here's the detail parish information including the dates covered in the records and the LDS film #: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=s howidrecords&CityCounty=Mayo&parish=Castlebar&churchid=1039 Oceanstrands --- On Thu, 7/31/08, Katie Crow <kcrowrn@charter.net> wrote: > From: Katie Crow <kcrowrn@charter.net> > Subject: [IRL-MAYO] Anthony Gibbons & Honora Costello > To: IRL-MAYO-L@rootsweb.com > Date: Thursday, July 31, 2008, 3:37 AM > If you felt the earth move yesterday it was not just an > aftershock of the > California earthquake.
