The 1930 US Federal Census in Cleveland includes 28 entries for Killeens living in Cleveland. One listed is John Killeen b 1888 with a son George age 12 still living at home and wife Julia. While it says John was born in New York many emigrants said that since they didn't want to be considered foreign born. There is also a John Killeen b1901 age 29 and his wife Cecilia age 23 living with her parents Michael and Eleanor McGlynn in Cleveland. But that John says he was born in Northern Ireland. There was some question in the US then about what counties were included in Northern Ireland which had just been established in the 1920s. A friend of mine here in Mayo had an ancestor who emigrated from one of the other counties in Ireland to Cleveland in the late 1920s and was able to get his obituary from the Cleveland Public Library (free) and also got a copy of the deed to his property in Cleveland (free) after posting on the Cleveland (Cuyahoga County, Ohio) message board. Also found his living relatives who are descendants there or in nearby areas around Cleveland. People on the Cuyahoga County message board were very helpful searching local records there. Do you have the 1901 census information for your family in Mayo? That's online. Have you gotten the 1911 census information for your Killeens in Ballyhaunis? You can order the 1911 census records microfilms for Ballyhaunis in Mayo through your nearest LDS Family History Centre.
