Oceanstrands Do you have any idea where Catholics in the Castlebar area would have been baptized and married before 1838? My family is from the Turlough Parish (Parke/Crumlin) and I can't figure out where they would have been baptized/married before 1847 (when Turlough church records began). Thanks. Click on each parish on the maps to see the years covered in the records and where they can be accessed. You'll find many of the Roman Catholic parish records in County Mayo don't begin until well after 1840 sometimes the last half of the Nineteenth Century: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/counties/rcmaps/mayorc.htm You're more than welcome to come here to Mayo to search at each parish in the county for any "hidden" records. We always love to have tourists visit our beautiful county. Oceanstrands **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos.
