John Jennings received 1/2 of the 55 acres (noted as such on the land records) and Michael had the other half. When Michael's second daughter, Anne (my great grandmother), married Thomas Hopkins also of Derrylahan in 1861, Thomas received half of Michael's acreage. All three names, Michael Jordan, John Jennings and Thomas Hopkins are noted on the land records. Thomas received Michael's portion upon Michael's death.
