Hi Diane I don't have any more on the KENEY/KENNEYs other that John was born in Mayo around 1837/9 to Nicholas (mother not known). I cannot find him before the 1861 census where is age 22 occupation costermonger (later to he hawker). He married Sarah POWELL from Brecon, Wales in 1864 and they had three children that I know of John Nicholas b.1865, Sarah Ellen b.1869 and James b.1878. They all continued to live in Sheffield. John married Emeline WITHEROYS but James didn't seem to marry. Sarah Ellen married an Edward GILLESPIE and after his death a Thomas MOORE. I found a marriage of a Mary Ann KENNEY about the same time as Sarah and Johns but haven't looked into yet. I have contacted North Mayo Centre and they tell me the database automatically searches variants so no further forward.
