Hello List, I have just joined you all and I`m hoping that there is someone here that can help me find my GG/Grandparents and two of their children. I don`t know a lot about them but here is the little I have. Daniel Riley/Reily/Reilly and his wife Ann had at least two children that I`m aware of. Mary Ann who was born around 1833 in Castlebar ,and her brother John born about 1850 in Castlebar. Mary Ann emigrated to Australia in late 1849 arriving in Sydney in Jan` 1850 on the ship "Panama". Her brother John also emigrated arriving in Sydney in Mar` 1854. He became quite famous here as "The Man From Snowy River". If anybody has any information on this family or can suggest how I can find more about them all I would be very pleased to hear from you, Thank you for taking the time to read this John McCarthy in Australia

G'day John ! I suppose it is possible that Mary Ann emigrated (on her own ?) at the age of 16 ?? - but did her brother John actually emigrate at the age of 3 or 4 ?? I know that "The Man From Snowy River" was a bit of a 'Superman' but this does seem rather exceptional ? - or did the parents go as well at this time ? Best Wishes !
