Is your family related to Patrick Coyle (1827-1904) who married Mary Smith (1835 - Bef. 1900)? U.S. Census for 1900, 1910, 1920 list son Thomas Albert Coyle and all (3) of these censuses show his parents' birth place as "Connecticut"; however, the data I have (from other researchers) all say Patrick and Mary were born in Ireland.
