The difficulty appears to be because being Roman Catholic was not considered appropriate at the time and because our Priests of the current day consider records as their "fountain of glory", which can be sold for the highest quote. Met one Priest who considered it important because of a purely roots issue who aided me and accepted a donation for his services. A true man and a very rare find in todays Ireland.
