I decided last night after trying the heritage centers that they don't provide enough information to make it possible (and worth the financial gamble) of determining if the record belongs to your ancestor or not. None of the ones I paid for did, so I won't be trying it again soon (and I was careful about who I selected to check for). It's great to know there is a better option!
