I saw a copy of the article when I was researching at the Ballinrobe Library. I believe they had listed ships passenger records to the US which included birthplaces for the emigrants in Mayo. I don't remember if they went into the US through the port of Boston or New York. They may have emigrated later than your family did. The Local Studies Section of the Mayo County Library in Castlebar may have a copy of the Journal and might look up the article for you.
