Author: jimwalsh23_1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.may.general/7807.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My great grandmother was Winifred Hastings.She married Edward Durkan from Louisburgh.She was born in Derryherbert,Cushlough,Westport,Co Mayo.Until recently there was a pub in Cushlough called 'The Darby Hastings'.It is run by Peter Flynn.I believe it is now called 'The Darby'.My grandmother was born in 1875 so,even though I have no evidence as yet it would seem logical that her mother was born around 1850.This might be worth following up.
