Author: naomiwaldrop_1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.may.general/7960/mb.ashx Message Board Post: By way of a source called The Search for Missing Friends, Irish Immigrant Advertisements Placed in the Boston Pilot,(which is an on line source) I found my ancestor John Kane (born around 1821 in Ireland) came from the Townland Meelick, Parish Crossboyne and County Mayo. I plan to attend a near by LDS center. They have film of baptism and marriage of that area. I have never done this before. I sure wish I could find someone working on Kanes from this part of Mayo maybe able to give additional tips. Are there any other good sites to search? I've been to the Mayo Co. site.
