What little I know is that he came to the US with his father, 4 brothers and a sister. His father Daniel was married to Brigid, but I have no mention of her in the US. Daniel appears to have been born about 1798. I first found him in the census records for 1850 in Rosecranz,Illinois living with his son John. He was also listed in the 1860 census for the same location. I don't find him after that. I also found him listed in a baptismal record for two of his grandsons at St. James parish in Kenosha Wis. Lastly, the LDS has a probate record for his daughter Elizabeth. She lived for many years with her brother Cornelius in Detroit, Mi. Her probate record lists most of her neices and nephews and where they lived at the time. I wish I had more, but I haven't found immigration records yet.
