The farm in Derrynalecka has passed through two female inheritances. It is known as the McCann farm - Margaret Kelly (b.1887) married John McCann. She was the only one of 10 children to stay in Ireland and so they inherited the Kelly Farm. My Grandmother ended up receiving the farm as the last of the McCann children to live there and now it is jointly owned by one of my Aunts and two of my Uncles.
