Discovered since my last posts that my Malone family search had taken a very bad wrong turn through some MALONE's listed in Clinton, MA. NOW NEED CONNECTION INFO. AND WOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR HELP ON: **My gg grandfather/mother--JOHN MALONE(abt 1818-Apr. 23,1882) and MARY (GIBBONS) MALONE (abt 1833-7/18/1908) of West Cloggernagh, Westport dist., Addergoole, County Mayo. MARY's parents were DOMINICK and MARY GIBBONS. **PETER MALONE (abt 1800?--?)listed (1856-57 Griffiths) in East Cloggernagh, Islandeady dist., Addergoole, County Mayo. So still needing to verify Peter's birth info and not familiar with the geography (between Westport and Islandeady), theorizing is it possible that this Peter could be my ggg??? **PATRICK MALONE(abt June 16, 1850)--Living in IRELAND 1908 **JOHN MALONE(abt Mar. 14, 1852)--Living in Lowell 1908 (grocer in Ballinrobe? IRELAND in 1917?) **SARAH MALONE CURLEY(abt Feb. 22,1857))--Married HUGH CURLEY--Living in IRELAND 1908, (draper listed in 1901 census in Ballinrobe??) OVERALL FAMILY BACKGROUND INFO: Using Lowell (MA) City Hall, Failtermorhat, Griffiths Valuation 1856-57 and Mayo Heritage Center info. have now traced with some confidence the MALONE family of Lowell, Massachusetts back to my gg grandfather/mother--JOHN MALONE(abt 1818-Apr. 23,1882) and MARY (GIBBONS) MALONE (abt 1833-7/18/1908) of West Cloggernagh, Westport dist., Addergoole, County Mayo. MARY's parents were DOMINICK and MARY GIBBONS. JOHN's father, who would be my ggg grandfather, was PETER MALONE (abt 1800?-?) and married to a MARY ----?. JOHN immigrated to USA between 1863?-1875; MARY is found to live in Lowell 1882?-1908; Naturalized 1875?; Both buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery (Lowell). Christening records (Mayo Family Hist. Ctr) show 6 children born to JOHN and MARY in Ireland: Patrick, John, Peter, Sarah, Hugh & Mary (3 survived mother Mary up to 1908 in Lowell and 2 lived in Ireland) PATRICK (abt June 16, 1850)--Living in IRELAND 1908 JOHN (abt Mar. 14, 1852)--Living in Lowell 1908 (and grocer in Ballinrobe? IRELAND 1917?) SARAH (abt Feb. 22,1857)--Married HUGH CURLEY--Living in IRELAND 1908, draper listed in 1901 census in Ballinrobe?? Oct. 20, 1862-1930) buried in Lowell--St. Patrick's Cemetery PETER Malone (abt Oct. 13 1854- June 15 1928)(my gr-grandfather)--Married Elizabeth (O'Dwyer) Malone (abt 1857--1890?) on 9/25/1882 @ St. Patrick's in Lowell, MA. PETER's son THOMAS P. MALONE married KATHERINE MYLOTT who had 5 kids including my father PAUL J. MALONE. JOHN MYLOTT and HANNAH RYAN were KATHERINE'a parents. My dad PAUL J. MALONE married RITA CONDON. Appreciate whatever new leads I can get. I am in the process of applying for Irish citizenship and passport (via Condon grandfather 1886 Irish birth. Have BDM Docs, waiting on GRO Daniel Condon birth in Blarney, Cork). If/when I have enough info. I am looking fwd. to using it on possible fall trip to see for family locations in Ireland for first time. Two other trips have been terrific overview tours.
