Moughty - I am researching my maternal side of the family. My grandfather was John Daly born in Philadelphia. His father was Joseph Daly married to Anne McQuade. Joseph was born in Ireland, Westmeath area, in 1845 and immigrated to Philadelphia in 1869. relations to yours??? Hopefully in the past years you've been able to add to your knowledge. I have a record of the birth of Celia to Thomas/Ann Mooney 15 Nov 1877 and of Denis 10 Jan 1880. I came across these when I was researching my Daly family in Crumlin/Irishtown. I'm working on John Daly who married three times to Bridget Carney, Mary Kirrane and Mary Morley. My husband descends from the marriage to Mary Morley. John Daly's parents were John Daly and Sarah Tracy. Sarah died in 1866 and John died before 1873. John and Sarah had two other children that I know of, Celia b.abt 1824 and married James Donnelly and Catherine b abt 1843 married Michael Sheridan. Because of the wide gap in ages of the three children, I feel there are more children of John and Sarah and wonder if you've made a connection to that family.
