Parents were Henry Stanton and Mary White. She emigrated about 1859 and settled in Kentucky. She married John O'Brien from County Galway, and they are buried in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Leitchfield, Grayson, KY. Buried next to John & Mary (Stanton) O'Brien is a John Stanton, no dates or information on him. His is a Civil War marker stating Company H, 16th Kentucky Infantry.
