Records, be it Census, Griffiths, or Church Parish records of BMDs is "the problem" as very few are online (I did find some at www.eastmayo.com). Many of these records (from my experiences with Co. Sligo records) are transcribed from the Microfische records, but then these transcriptions are never forwarded to be put online. So I have started building a database for such microfische records that are transcribed (for Sligo and Mayo Counties around Kilmactigue, Co. Sligo)-- but I have to have the transcriptions sent to me -- so please keep that in mind if you ever run across any and I will put them online at: www. triptoireland.net (have photos there from Knock, and the area until the databases are done). Anyone who knows of the FHL (Salt Lake) Microfische films, or their transcriptions, for these areas please do let me know and send them to me as it seems these microfische get ordered, searched, and transcribed -- but never put online once done UNTIL NOW as I will be when parts or the whole fische are sent to me!
