I know this is a long time since you originally posted but I have been trying to unravel Chambers of Crillaun recently as I am descended from Honor Chambers (b 1861), married name Quinn, father Nicholas, mother Margaret McHale. I have been unravelling the family strands from the cancelled land registry books and at the moment my hypothesis is this: Unknown Chambers and Bridget Chambers (maiden name unknown at the moment) had 3 sons: Nicholas (poss the eldest), Patrick (the one you are interested in) and John. They may have had a sister Bridget but I haven't got that far yet. It looks like Bridget was holding the farm in 1857 (Griffith's Valuation) and in 1862 she gave 1/3 to Nicholas (he would have just married). By 1868 both Patrick and John had also received their thirds... Nicholas died in 1891, his wife Margaret is the head of household at the 1901 census, as are Patrick and John (both 60!). There is also another Chambers family living in Crillaun also called Patrick (Francis) who I think is a cousin of the three brothers (I think their father was a brother of Patrick's father Francis). My father, who grew up in Crillaun remembers descendants of John Chambers and played with some of them, not seeming to realise they were third cousins... If you have any further information I'd love to hear it - as I said it's not easy unravelling them as they all used the same names...there is another family of Chambers in Greenane, same parish who are also related but I haven;t figured out how yet...
