His brother Patrick also came over to England and settled in Birmingham along with their sisters Margaret and Agnes. Thomas Higgins and Mary Kate McNulty nee Higgins remained in Ireland and died there. The majority of Higgins's were farmers and as I said previously Higgins is a very very popular name. You could try the following website www.mayoancestors.com it lists births, deaths and marriages for Co. Mayo up to approx 1900. As there are so many Higgins's in Co. Mayo it is not possible to say that we are connected. However you do appear to have similar names to my family, but that may just be an Irish thing.
