I do not have an actual copy of the marriage certificate but have a copy of a typewritten report given to me by another researcher from the South Mayo Family Research Centre in Ballinrobe, Mayo County, Ireland. This is what it states: "Margaret McNeely, born c. 1870 (age based on age given in civil record of marriage - 19 in 1889), married, 14 Apr 1889 in Cappaghduff R.C. Church, Michael Gavin, farmer, Dunacree, son of John Gavin (witnesses: Thomas McGing and Margaret MacNeally). Michael was born c. 1869 (age based on age given in civil record of marriage - 20 in 1889). There is no further identifiable record of this family after their marriage". In the US census, it states they immigrated in 1889. The report further states: "Margaret McNeely's parents were Austin McNeely and Margaret McNeely. They lived in Glenmask, Tourmakeady and were the parents of Patrick, James, John, J.J., Margaret and Catherine McNeely who have been traced". T! here are a few researchers who are working on the McNeely side. I was interested in Michael Gavin also as my husband is descended from him. Thanks for your help.
