Patrick Ratchford (or Rochford as they were known in Mayo) married Barbara Loftus and had children, Patrick, Martin, Rose, Michael, John, Ellen all born Mayo, and finally a son James in Newcastle. Patrick died in Newcastle in June 1879, Barbara in Dec 1857. When they moved to Newcastle. In Mayo they lived in Knockmore, RC parish of Backs.
