ELLEN McHALE Born in Highmarket, November 12, 1841; Died In Port Leyden at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Josephine Dolan. Mrs. Ellen McHale passed away Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Dolan, in Port Leyden .after a few days illness. Mrs. McHale was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Hanley and was born In Highmarket November 12, 1841. In 1858 she was united marriage with James McHale, who died twenty-one years ago, shortly after celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Since then she -had made her home .with her daughters, Mr. and Mrs. McHale always lived on the same farm* in Highmarket, where they cleared the land and built their home. Eleven children came to bless their home. Six of these have passed away. The ones who survive are Mrs. Josephine Dolan, Port Leyden; Mrs. Susie King, Glenfleld; Mrs. James Gilligan, Lyons Falls; Mrs. Walter Carter, Rome, and James D. McHale, Moose River; also one brother, James Hanley, of Santa Rosa, California, .who moved to California forty-four years ago.
