Cousin Jean, Thanks for the information. No where near sweltering here, temps have been in the 5 - 30 degree range for the past couple of weeks with snow up to my arse.  Keeps all Senior Citizens busy with the shovels and snowblowers. Scheduled to receive up to 27 inches of new white snow on Tuesday ! Thank you very much for John McShane's brother Henry tied to a  Rose Forbes. ( did this Rose have needles? (;>= ) By the way, have you gone to: www.1911census.co.uk this site allows you the opportunity to free checks on names and provides you with a sampling of ie. McShane and others, throughout England for the 1911 Census.  If you wish a print out there is a credit cost which must be paid for the complete scheme (census). The only difficulty is that it only provided a 10 year span per view.
