What records to you refer to? I'm encouraged again, as the surname Prial seems impenetrably obscure in its origin. I will review my records, but believe from prior research that there was more than one Peter Prial and that they may have been contemporaries. My records indicate that Peter Prial, my great great grandfather: - was born 27 June, 1827 in Kilcummin Parish, County Mayo - arrived in NYC from Liverpool on the "Senator" 23 Jan 1849 - married Mary Coughlan 15 May 1854 in NYC (Church Of The Nativity) Family folklore mentions a house right on the Mayo/Sligo/Roscommon border and the town Foxfords crops up as well. Perhaps a new thread on the mysterious surname is in order? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
