Hi all, I am looking at Griffiths Valuation for Mayo, and I believe I have found my 2xgreat grandfather, James Cunningham, in Cashel townland. I am somewhat confused, as there are a large number of Cunninghams (John Senior, John Junior, Peter, Thomas and James). They each seem to listed multiple times in Cashel, see below: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNameSearch&Submit.x=31&Submit.y=18&Submit=Submit&familyname=cunningham&firstname=First+Name&baronyname=&countyname=MAYO&unionname=KILLALA&parishname=KILCUMMIN Is it correct to assume that if description is just 'land' then no one is living on it; only "Land and house" would be where someone was living? Secondly, on www.askireland.ie I looked at the maps, and I only see numbers 1 - 14 on the map, but the valuation lists 1 - 24. I am slightly confused, and hope someone could help me make sense of this. Finally, anyone know where I might be able to find birth, marriage and death records for Cashel townland? Would those be in Kilcummin or Killala? Thanks, John
