I have relatives named Lavelle from Faulmore on the mullett in Mayo. My grandfather Thomas Ford came from a town called Lug of the Cly on the mullett. For years my cousins kidded me about the name until an aged woman showed me where he lived and I talked to the parish priest and got records. Now I check back and it shows that his father was James had he lived in bingingstown on the mullet which was owned by a landlord. The priest told me that James's son was not easy to get along with the landlord and that is probably why he came to America. I will share this information with you. I am also been told that the name ford came from County Cork but who knows Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Some of the children names are correct, but my b/dates don't match, plus I never heard of an 'Honor' or 'Martin' before. I do know that Bridget's daughter Bridget (Ellen sister) married a Dominick O'Donnell, my mother always talked about her cousin Mary (Marie) O'Donnell. I found a Bridget McCann and daughters Ellen & Bridget in the Ellis Island records, their final destination was Pittsburgh, Pa. I located them in a 1900 census, but I have been told by some family members that none of my McCann's live in Pittsburgh. Andrew was the brother of my husband's g-g-grandfather, John Carson Dever. I've only during the last few years been working on the DEVER genealogy. What has been confusing to me is so many John Devers in this family and then John Dever who married Jane Noble Carson and then I believe later a Martha (maiden name unknown to me) Dever. Not sure which children were John and Jane's kids and which were John and Martha's......so please feel free to contact me with any info. And if I can help you out, I would be glad to do so. Hopefully it comes through OK. The image quality is not great ( scanned off microfilm - but legible) and the tree chart is on 10 pages - but so much info! If Crossle's works have been published I'm not aware of it. (and would love it if it were because there was so much information there that I didn't scan) I found Crossle's Irish wills at the LDS Family History Library. (2 rolls of microfilm - the Kilkelly info was on the 2nd one and actually consisted of some 430 pages when you include the documentation) I made the Kilkelly tree simply because up until I found Crossle's work I had searched in vain for information on that branch of my family tree. (and his tree chart had not one but both my Kilkelly and Killikelly lines - down to my grandmother!) His work had so very much in it on so many branches of the Killikelly/Kilkelly family that I thought I'd take the basic information and put it out there for any others who were searching. I know there is a copy of Crossle's work in National Library but I wondered if it were published? I am very new to this and have got badly mixed up several times already and would be ever so grateful if you could share the Crossle Tree with me. I can work back to a Michael Kilkelly, my great grand father (1839? to 1899?) but have got mixed up with the switching of the family names from Kelly to Kilkelly.
