And thanks to all the other caring people on this thread! I used to have two possible parents sets for John born in 1828. Now I have three - I was hoping the P.S. would be Peter Sheridan who was listed as the father of John on John's death cert in Scotland. This P.S. turned out to be Patrick! Are there any records for emmigration from Ireland to Scotland in the Mid 1800s that would indicate parents? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: njb19261962 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.may.general/8319.7.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Sorry to disappoint you but the Thomas Robert McNeice you have found is the s/o of Thomas (b.ca.1820/1, Ireland) and his wife, Jane (?Gardiner?). I can't recall Thomas Robert's date of birth off the top of my head, but his year of death is 1881 after the 1881 Middlesex census for, I think, Adelaide Twp. Thomas Robert McNeice had a brother named James who married a young woman named Jane Brown. Jane (Brown) and her husand, James McNeice, are buried in the Strathroy Municipal Cemetery. Both brothers, James and Thomas Robert McNeice died young and before their parents, Thomas and Jane (?Gardiner?). James, Thomas Robert's brother, if I remember correctly, was b.ca. 1846, and Thomas Robert McNeice was born after 1846. I hope this clears any confusion you may have up.
