Thanks for the information - I have found out lots of fantastic information I have been searching for for years! I don't know if it was me but it seems you need to go back to the home page each time to search otherwise it gives you a nil return when there are records there! Have checked some certainties, and unfortunately they are not all there yet. I'll keep looking. Joy
It's a little quirky. I found with some of mine that if I put in an event, like birth or death, nothing came up, but if I just searched by the name, place, and year and left out the event, it did. Diane

You'll have to look for a baptismal record. The Griffith's index on failteromhat.com shows two Martin Doyles in Mayo, both in Meelick civil parish, which is in Swinford RC parish. Swinford parish records are on LDS films 1279233 (items 5-9) and 0926020. You might start there. Diane Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. LDS have also filmed the Griffith's revisions and the civil indexes (beginning 1864). The 1901 census is on the Leitrim-Roscommon site (shows Pat and John in Attymass). Finally, you could try the Irish Family History Foundation site. Diane Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
