Her father was James Casey and her mother Mary Morrisroe. She had brothers Martin b. 1855, twins John and Pat b. 1857 and a sister Anne b. 1859. Mary Casey died in 1864 and James then married Attracta McCan and had several more children. Are there any Morrisroe's or Casey's still in the area? Bridgit immigrated to the U.S. in abt. 1879. My family has a John and Mary Jennings with Mary "Bridget" born in 1829---has anyone come across this??? I'm stuck at this point by onlu knowing her parents and it's most probable she came to the US herself. The records from St. Rose, Carbondale show an Anthony Toolan (Dundaff St.) died 10 Aug 1917 (age 69) and Michael Toolan (288 Dundaff St.) died 3 Nov 1954 (age 85). There was indeed a Patrick Toole family in Pittston, PA. My ggf Patrick Toole died 24 Feb 1921 in Pittston (age 83). He was married to Mary McGarry, who died 9 Feb 1913 in Pittston (age 74). They had 12 children. The McGarrys were from Ballycastle in County Mayo. I have located and visited the land upon which they lived in Ballycastle. I have mounds of info to share on Toole/McGarry. I don't have the film number for Moygawnagh, but years ago I ordered the Tithe for Crossmolina Parish, which is its southern border. It may even be on the same film. The number is 0256595.
