I have James Ganly who married Mary McCord and had a daughter Sarah Ganly..Sarah was born in 1820's in Co. Longford....James and Ellen were probably born in late 1700's or early 1800's....I'm related to the McCords....it is possible Ellen was related to James....Joni

I'm new to genealogy research in Ireland. I've been doing my USA-based lines for a few years--but have just about exhausted that information. I would like to find some more information on my husband's Ireland line of COOKE, MCMANUS, GRAY, HEALY. They are from the County Longford area. Other "placenames" I have are Cornakelly, Ballinamuck, Garvary, Dormard Parish, and Patrick Tubber Cemetery. I believe these are all placenames in County Longford. Any help/advice anyone has on researching surnames in these areas and/or information on these lines will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Karen
