Jim I would love to do a dna study for Longford families, but being female the only test I can do is the mtdna, which won't show my Irish roots, since they go through my mother's father's mother. My brothers are my half brothers, so their y-dna would only show their father's traits (my stepfather). I have one male cousin who *might* consider the y-dna test ... but ... the link to Ireland (for him) is through his father's father's mother ... would the Irish links show up?
