    3. Hi Ursula :) As far as we know, there is no connection. But we don't have too much on our DOYLES (in Ireland) ... only the names of our gr-gr-gr-grandparents, Felix DOYLE and Honora McCUE/McHUGH, and that their children were born in Co. Galway, but we haven't found them in Galway yet. Family stories say they were from Roscommon area. All of their children emigrated to PA, except for one son who remained in Ireland (name unknown), and one daughter (Bridget DOYLE) who was a Sister of the Sacred Heart Convent in St. Joe MO. Maybe once we get the information about them in Ireland, your names will turn up ... so I will keep your names and your email handy, just in case. :) The connection of the DOYLES to Co. Longford is through one of their children's husband. My gr-gr-grandmother, Barbara DOYLE, married my gr-gr-grandfather James HAGARTY of Cooleeny Twp, Parish Templemichael, Co. Longford. Today our living cousins in Ireland spell their name HEGARTY. In the handwritten original baptismal records, it is spelled HAGARTY, and when James signed his Declaration of Intent and his Naturalization papers, he spelled it HAGARTY. It has been spelled so many ways ... HAGGERTY on Barbara's obituary, HAGGERTY on James' ship's passenger list, HAGERTY on census records, HAGARTY on some death certificates. Our living American cousin spells it HAGARTY, and because of that and because of the way James himself spelled it, we use the spelling HAGARTY. The point about spelling variations ... we know who we are talking about! We just always have to be sure to look for those variations in spelling when searching for documents. I sure do wish someone knew something about my DOYLES. Anything! Cheers! Phyllis > Were your Doyles related to Kerrigan, Ryan, or Barry? >Thank you, >Ursula > > > Hi,
