Guy at [email protected] writes: << In studying my Longford ancestors I have come across the Bawn House. >> Guy, In preparing for my annual trips to Ireland, I usually "fire off" a number of queries which involve sites I hope to visit. I usually expect a line or two - at most - in the way of a response, for which I give a proper "thank you", and place the information either on my already-heavily-annotated Discovery maps, or into folders of information which I carry with me to Ireland. Every now and then, someone buries me with great information.......... for which I am completely unprepared.......... and to which I have to say - "Let me get back to you in a couple of days". This is one of those situations. I had already requested the McNamee book via interlibrary loan (based on the reference in Gwynn & Hadcock's "Medieval Religious Houses - Ireland), but that could be a while yet. It's still going to be a couple of days before I get the rest of my currently-busy life sorted-out, and then I can properly respond to you. But in advance, thanks for all of the valuable information.
