Hello, My GG grandfather was George Pratt. His death certificate states that he married Ann McCann about 1868 in Longford, Ireland. Searching through civil registrations here in Australia, I have not been able to find record of this marriage. I am trying to find information about their children George born approx. 1872 and Elizabeth born 1875. George was a private with King's Own Hussars (14th). Does anyone know about this regiments history in Longford? Ann was born in 1850. Her father was John Hugh McCann, a Sea Captain and her mother was Elizabeth Cox. I am interested to find any information about Ann's birth or her parents. Your help is appreciated, Regards, Julie.
