Hi Karen: Saw your post re your surnames Co. Longford area & noted ref. to McMANUS. Do you have any, of that surname, who may have immigr. into Quebec, Canada ca 1822 ? I have a minimal ref. to a Mary McMANUS m to Lawrence KELLY/O'KELLY. They were in Quebec by 1822 when Lawrence was granted lands. They had daughter - Anne b 1830 there. I *think* they may have originated in Co. Longford as I have many of surname LEAVY/LEVEY/LEVY from Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford connected to my KELLY line. Also have HICKEY/FARRELL/GORMAN/DILLON (& more)names connected, all from Co. Longford. Does anyone look familiar to you ?? Bev
