Hi Bev! Thanks for your reply re David Gorman, my great grandfather. My problem is trying to find his birth place as the documents I have all just say "Ireland". According to the records I have: 1. He came to Montreal, Quebec and settled there in 1873. He married Agnes Carmichael on January 09, 1879 in St Jean French Presbyerian Church, Montreal. It states he was a bachelor an engineer and age of maturity. They raised a family here: Agnes, Ann, Edith, Thomas, Jessie Ida, William, Elsie and David Arthur. He died in Montreal on December 26, 1919 and was buried from St. Matthew Presbyterian Church, Point St. Charles, Montreal at the age of 74 years. He was buried on December 28,1919 in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal According to the 1881 Census he was 32 years of age meaning he was born in 1849. On the 1901 Canada Census he was born in 1858 and on the 1911 Census he was born in 1851. I know the Census is not the most reliable place for the proper age etc. and there could be errors in copying the records. If you hve any of these names or require further information on the children of David and Agnes please advise me.
